Kenton piles up the points against Ridgemont

Recap: Kenton Wildcats vs. Ridgemont Golden Gophers

The Kenton Wildcats scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 81-34 win over Ridgemont on the road. The team's offensive explosion also rewarded Kenton with their most commanding win of the season.

Despite the defeat, Ridgemont saw an underclassman step up: Anna Ramsey scored 17 points along with two blocks. That was a full 50% of Ridgemont's points, marking the sixth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ruth Eckstein, who scored four points along with five rebounds and three steals.

Kenton's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-11. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.0 points per game. As for Ridgemont, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-15.

Kenton will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Shawnee at 7:30 p.m. As for Ridgemont, they will head out on the road to face off against Riverdale at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
