Baseball Recap: Park Crossing Comes Up Short

Park Crossing was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Saint James Trojans, falling 9-1. The Thunderbirds were not able to make up for their loss to the Trojans from their previous meeting back in March of 2023.

Park Crossing saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaylen Sankey, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base.

Park Crossing's record now sits at 2-10. As for Saint James, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-8.

Coming up, Park Crossing will take on Wetumpka at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Indians' pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so the Thunderbirds' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Saint James, they will challenge Elmore County at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
