Hesperia Christian is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Excelsior Charter with a sharp 25-3 win on Thursday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Patriots with their most commanding win of the season.
Luke Beasley and Cory Villalba made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Beasley pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Villalba pitched four innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. Palmdale Academy Charter School saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Isaac Torres, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. Torres is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played.
Hesperia Christian pushed their record up to 11-10 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.7 runs over those games. As for Palmdale Academy Charter School, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-11.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal.
