Basketball Recap: Okeechobee Starts Season with Victory at Home

Okeechobee took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Tuesday. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 51-15 win over the Lake Placid Dragons. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 28-5.

Okeechobee's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Azariah Washington, who posted 14 points. Mienisha Brown was another key player, putting up ten points.

Okeechobee has already played their next game, a 66-44 defeat against LaBelle on the 19th. As for Lake Placid, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 55-24 loss against Moore Haven on the 21st.
