Baseball Recap: Clarion Area Now 7-2 over Last Nine Games

While Clarion Area put up some runs on Wednesday, the same can't be said for Grove City. The Bobcats walked away with a 3-0 victory over the Eagles. That's two games straight that the Bobcats have won by exactly three runs.

Clarion Area saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dylan Smail, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Clarion Area hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their strikeout total in three consecutive matches.

Clarion Area has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. As for Grove City, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-14.

As of now, neither Clarion Area nor the Eagles have any future games scheduled.
