Softball Recap: Pearl Comes Up Short

Thursday just wasn't the day for Pearl's offense. They came up short against the Petal Panthers on Thursday, falling 12-0. The Pirates haven't had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Pearl's loss dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Petal, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pearl will face off against Clinton at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Petal, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Neshoba Central at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
