After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Valley Vista, Willow Canyon was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 24-6 win over the Agua Fria Owls. The game marked the Wildcats' most dominant victory of the season.
Willow Canyon had a senior duo take command as Roman Thuyns threw for 307 yards and four touchdowns and Tyus Dragon picked up 177 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Those 307 passing yards set a new season-high mark for Thuyns. Willow Canyon also got help from Quinn Nichols, who showed off his sure hands for 88 receiving yards.
