Softball Recap: Avery County Comes Up Short

Avery County lost against Mountain Heritage on Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Vikings came up short against the Cougars, falling 14-1. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Avery County's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Mountain Heritage, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-9.

Avery County and Mountain Heritage will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matches. The next time the Vikings see the field they'll take on Mitchell at 4:30 p.m. on the 28th. As for Mountain Heritage, their break will end when they face Draughn at 4:00 p.m. on the 29th.
