Football Recap: Klein Oak Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Klein Oak came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 34-13 to the Tomball Cougars. Having soared to a lofty 36 points in the game before, the Panthers couldn't push the score so high this time.

Ian Thomas was his usual excellent self, rushing for 118 yards and two TDs, while also picking up 68 receiving yards for Tomball. Thomas showed off some serious burst, connecting on a big catch for 68 yards. Jaxyn Faldyn was another key player, throwing for 212 yards and one touchdown on only 12 passes.

Klein Oak's defeat dropped their record down to 3-4. As for Tomball, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-1.

Klein Oak and Tomball should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. The Panthers will face off against Magnolia West at 7:00 p.m. on Friday with a big rank advantage (146 vs. 356). Meanwhile, Tomball (ranked 50th) will meet Tomball Memorial (ranked 263rd) at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
