Volleyball Recap: Plainfield Central Takes a Loss

Plainfield Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Oak Park-River Forest Huskies. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2022.

Plainfield Central's defeat dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Oak Park-River Forest, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 14-2.

Looking ahead, Plainfield Central will head out on the road to face off against Joliet West at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Oak Park-River Forest, they will take on Benet Academy in a tournament on Saturday. The Redwings will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something the Huskies surely won't give up without a fight.
