Basketball Recap: Mountlake Terrace Comes Up Short

Mountlake Terrace was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 61-47 bruising from the Lakeside Lions. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Hawks came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 98th, while the Lions are ranked 238th).

Mountlake Terrace's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Lakeside, they moved to 4-5 with that victory, which also ended their five-game losing streak.

When Mountlake Terrace and Lakeside next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Mountlake Terrace will try to stop Edmonds-Woodway's nine-game winning streak when the meet at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Lakeside will challenge Ballard and their three-game winning streak at 8:30 p.m. on Friday.
