Rancho Bernardo and Del Norte are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2021, but likely not for long. The Broncos will be playing in front of their home fans against the Nighthawks at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

While Rancho Bernardo's win against Westview wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Broncos had just enough and edged out the Wolverines 5-3. The Broncos haven't had any issues with the Wolverines recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Nora Schwart was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024. Ellery Housand was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.

Meanwhile, Del Norte had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Lancers 5-3. That's two games straight that the Nighthawks have won by exactly two runs.

The team relied heavily on Alexis Kyles, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 4-for-4. She is on a roll when it comes to hits, as she's now got three or more in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Lainey LLamas, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

Del Norte was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .444. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive games.

Del Norte pushed their record up to 9-6-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.67 runs across that stretch. As for Rancho Bernardo, the win got them back to even at 6-6-1.
