Shoals hadn't done well against Wood Memorial recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Jug Rox blew past the Trojans 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Jug Rox have posted against the Trojans since September 6, 2019.

One reason for the win was Shoals' just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-17, 25-12.

Loren Bauer paced Shoals' offense, picking up 13 kills. Bauer got some help from Rylee Bauer and her 29 assists. Emmalyn McNabb controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Shoals' win bumped their record up to 22-4. As for Wood Memorial, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 10-16.

Shoals wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against North Daviess on the 16th. As for Wood Memorial, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Cannelton on the 18th.
