Basketball Game Preview: Eastside Catholic Crusaders vs. Garfield Bulldogs

The Eastside Catholic Crusaders will head out to square off against the Garfield Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Eastside Catholic comes in on three and Garfield on five.

Eastside Catholic will bounce into Friday's contest after beating Lakeside, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Eastside Catholic walked away with a 50-37 victory over Lakeside on Wednesday. The win was all the more spectacular given the Crusaders' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 53rd, while the Lions are ranked seventh).

Roosevelt typically has all the answers at home, but on Wednesday Garfield proved too difficult a challenge. In a tight matchup that could have gone either way, they made off with a 52-51 victory over the Roughriders.

Eastside Catholic's record is now 12-10. As for Garfield, their record now sits at 12-6.

Eastside Catholic and Garfield were neck-and-neck in their previous matchup back in January, but Eastside Catholic came up empty-handed after a 52-51 defeat. Can Eastside Catholic avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
