Volleyball Recap: Whitney Wildcats vs. Foothill Falcons
Whitney saw some tournament action on Saturday. They fell 2-0 to the Foothill Falcons.
Emi Stephens paced Whitney's offense, picking up three kills. Stephens were helped by Kapri Orteza and Regan Parenti, who contributed four assists each. Parenti and Stephens didn't slow down when it came to serving: they led the team with two apiece.
Whitney has been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season. As for Foothill, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-5.
Looking ahead, Whitney will face off against Folsom at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Foothill, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-1 defeat against Oak Ridge on the 20th.
