Basketball Recap: Myers Park Takes a Loss

After flying high against Ballantyne Ridge last Tuesday, Myers Park came back down to earth. The Myers Park Mustangs fell to the South Mecklenburg Sabres 53-48. The Mustangs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Sabres earlier this season, when they won 34-29.

Chloe Grant had an outrageously good game for South Mecklenburg as she dropped a double-double with 15 points and ten rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Grant a new career-high in shooting accuracy (70%). Nykira Arrington was another key player, putting up eight points and 13 boards.

Myers Park's defeat dropped their record down to 13-13. As for South Mecklenburg, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 16 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-4 record this season.

As of now, neither Myers Park nor South Mecklenburg have any future games scheduled.
