Baseball Recap: Myrtle Beach Comes Up Short

Myrtle Beach was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 5-2 to the North Myrtle Beach Chiefs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Chiefs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-0 last Monday.

Myrtle Beach saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Edwards, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Myrtle Beach's loss dropped their record down to 7-14. As for North Myrtle Beach, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Myrtle Beach will be taking part in a tournament against Archbishop Molloy at 12:00 p.m. on the 25th. As for North Myrtle Beach, they will take on Asheville in a tournament on Tuesday.
