Volleyball Recap: Botkins Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Botkins lost against Fort Loramie back in August, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Trojans fell 3-1 to the Redskins.

Botkins couldn't get the win, but they sure gave Fort Loramie a tough time in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-7, 28-30, 25-18.

When it comes to explaining why Botkins lost, don't look at Kambree Walters. Despite the final result, she had 11 digs and two assists. Walters is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Fort Loramie found their leader in sophomore Addie Barhorst, who had 13 digs and one assist. Maddie Shatto also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

Botkins has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season. As for Fort Loramie, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-5.

Botkins didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Lima Senior on the 20th. As for Fort Loramie, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against New Bremen on the 20th.
