Basketball Game Preview: Washtenaw Christian Academy Wildcats vs. Barry County Christian Eagles

The Washtenaw Christian Academy Wildcats will be taking part in a tournament against the Barry County Christian Eagles at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Washtenaw Christian Academy is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They walked away with a 66-55 victory over Bloomfield Christian School. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wildcats.

Meanwhile, Barry County Christian humbled Rochester Hills Christian with a 60-31 victory. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 matchups by 24 points or more this season.

Washtenaw Christian Academy pushed their record up to 16-7 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.9 points over those games. As for Barry County Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 17-2.

Washtenaw Christian Academy and Barry County Christian were neck-and-neck in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, but Washtenaw Christian Academy came up empty-handed after a 55-54 defeat.
