Baseball Recap: Maria Carrillo Takes a Loss

Saturday just wasn't the day for Maria Carrillo's offense. They lost 7-0 to the Archie Williams Peregrine Falcons on Saturday. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Pumas were not able to get on the board.

Maria Carrillo saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cooper Bluestone, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases. Those two stolen bases gave Bluestone a new career-high. Tristan Jordan also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

This is the second loss in a row for Maria Carrillo and nudges their season record down to 7-4. As for Archie Williams, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-6.

Looking ahead, Maria Carrillo will welcome Ukiah at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Archie Williams, they will head out to square off against Terra Linda at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Archie Williams is facing Terra Linda at the right time seeing as Terra Linda is stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
