Baseball Recap: Mclean Continues Home Dominance on Thursday

McLean extended their postseason success on Thursday against Oakton. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 win over the Cougars. Winning may never get old, but the Highlanders sure are getting used to it with their eighth in a row.

McLean's victory was their 17th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-5. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Oakton, their loss dropped their record down to 15-9.

Coming up, McLean will challenge James Madison at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Highlanders 3.3, the Warhawks 2.5) so any runs scored will be well earned. Oakton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
