Basketball Recap: Whippany Park Takes a Loss

Whippany Park and Glen Ridge squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Whippany Park had to settle for second. They took a blow against the Glen Ridge Ridgers, falling 72-36. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Ridgers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2015.

This is the second loss in a row for Whippany Park and nudges their season record down to 6-13. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.0 points over those games. As for Glen Ridge, their victory bumped their record up to 14-6.

Whippany Park does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Glen Ridge, they will challenge Cedar Grove on Saturday.
