Softball Recap: Nogales Apaches vs. Pueblo Warriors

Nogales had lost eight straight on the road, but on Thursday they dropped their record down to 7-21 to make it nine. They lost 11-1 to the Pueblo Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-3 on Tuesday.

Ximena Barnett made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

As for Pueblo, their victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-16. That's two games straight that they have won by exactly ten runs.

On Pueblo's side, Anesa Castillo was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and one double. That's the most runs Castillo has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Renata Nu?ez, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Coming up, Nogales will face off against Salpointe Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The last four games the Lancers have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. Pueblo does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
