Baseball Recap: Windber Gets the Win

Windber had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They won by a run and slipped past the Richland Rams 2-1. This was payback for the Ramblers, who suffered a 5-3 loss the last time these two teams met.

Windber got a great performance from Dylan O'Roark as he didn't allow a single earned run over six innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave O'Roark a new career-high in strikeouts (four).

On the hitting side, Windber saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Logan Serenko, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI. Another was Dylan Woodruff, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Windber now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Richland, their record is now 4-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Windber will host Conemaugh Township at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Indians will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Ramblers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Richland, they will face off against Bedford at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
