Soccer Game Preview: Tolleson vs. Williams Field

The Tolleson Wolverines will challenge the Williams Field Black Hawks at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.

Tolleson took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. Their defense stepped up to hand Maryvale a 4-0 shutout. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Wolverines as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last match, Williams Field made sure to put some goals up on the board against Gilbert on Wednesday. They were the clear victor by a 5-2 margin over the Tigers. Considering the Black Hawks have won five contests by more than two goals this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Tolleson's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-6. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 12 goals over those four games. As for Williams Field, they now have a winning record of 6-5-3.
