Softball Recap: Juarez Comes Up Short

After flying high against Intrinsic Charter last Wednesday, Juarez came back down to earth. Juarez lost 15-5 to Jones on Thursday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Juarez of the 12-5 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Juarez's loss dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Jones, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-13.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Juarez will square off against Hancock at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Juarez's pitchers better be ready for this one: Hancock has averaged an impressive 9.9 runs per game this season. As for Jones, they will be playing at home against Maine East at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
