Republic County won the last time they faced Pike Valley and things went their way  on Saturday too. The Buffaloes came out on top against the Panthers by a score of  2-0.
 Kymry Hoesli paced Republic County's offense, picking up 15 kills. Hoesli got some help from  Tallyn Melton and her 26 assists. Melton also made an impact serving:  she shared the team lead in aces with  Giada Smith, each putting up three.
 Despite the  loss, Pike Valley saw an underclassman step up: sophomore  Kinely Cooper  had nine  digs and three  aces.
Republic County's win bumped their record up to 7-15. As for Pike Valley,  they are  on  a  19-game losing streak  (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-17.
 Coming up, Republic County will venture away from home to  square off against Lyons  at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Pike Valley has  already played their next  matchup (against Rock Hills), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
