George Walton Academy put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past the Piedmont Academy Cougars 27-0. The Bulldogs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Cougars, too.

George Walton Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Aj Dillard, who threw for 177 yards and three touchdowns on only ten passes, and also rushed for 61 yards. That's the most passing yards Dillard has posted since back in September of 2024. Roland Crutchfield was another key player, picking up 147 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

George Walton Academy's record now sits at 8-0. As for Piedmont Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3.

Coincidentally, George Walton Academy and Piedmont Academy will both be playing Riverside Military Academy the next time they take the field. The Cougars will head out to face the Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Bulldogs will host them at 7:30 p.m. on the 17th.
