Aurora East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 15th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 13-9 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Streamwood Sabres. On the bright side, the nine- run effort marked the Tomcats' highest-scoring contest to date.

Aurora East's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Streamwood, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-8.

While Aurora East had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
