Softball Recap: Weed Victorious

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Arcata, Weed was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They came out on top against the Plumas Charter Warriors by a score of 6-3.

Weed let Riley Dawson and Maci Phillips run wild. Dawson went 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI, while Phillips went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one double.

Weed's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Plumas Charter, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Weed has already played their next contest, a 6-1 loss against Hoopa Valley on the 14th. As for Plumas Charter, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Maxwell at 12:00 p.m. on the 26th.
