Preview: Berryhill Chiefs vs. Bristow Pirates
Berryhill and Bristow are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2018, but not for long. The Berryhill Chiefs will head out on the road to face off against the Bristow Pirates at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
Last Friday, Berryhill came up short against Sperry and fell 51-39. Berryhill has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Meanwhile, Bristow took their matchup at home on Friday with ease, bagging a 66-26 win over Cushing. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Bristow.
Bristow's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Shalyn Edmondson, who scored 17 points along with 7 rebounds and 5 steals, and Addi Alexander, who scored 24 points along with 3 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Edmondson has scored at least 25% of Bristow's points. Ava Yocham was another key contributor, scoring 8 points along with 4 steals.
The losses dropped Berryhill to 0-2 and Sperry to 1-1.
Berryhill ended up a good deal behind Bristow in their previous matchup back in February, losing 60-43. Can Berryhill avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
