Softball Recap: Montgomery Snags Sixth Win in Last Seven Games

Montgomery won against Lakeview last Tuesday with 17 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. Montgomery didn't even let the Red River Bulldogs on the board, marking Montgomery's second-straight 17-0 shutout. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matchups by eight runs or more this season.

Montgomery is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.6 runs over those games. This is the second loss in a row for Red River and nudges their season record down to 10-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. We've got a battle between Tigers coming up. As for Red River, they will square off against Pleasant Hill at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
