Softball Game Preview: Mercer Island Islanders vs. Evergreen Wolverines

Mercer Island is 0-3 against Evergreen since April of 2025 but things could change on Friday. The Islanders will challenge the Wolverines at 4:00 p.m. Mercer Island has given up an average of 12.4 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Mercer Island managed to slip by Renton the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Islanders lost 25-8 to the Redhawks on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Evergreen came tearing into Thursday's game with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.4 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Bulldogs 11-1.

Evergreen's victory bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Mercer Island, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-9.
