Volleyball Recap: Bishop Ward Takes a Loss

Bishop Ward was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Maranatha Christian Academy Eagles. The Cyclones were not able to make up for their defeat to the Eagles from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-19.

Bishop Ward's loss dropped their record down to 7-21-2. As for Maranatha Christian Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 22 of their last 23 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 34-4 record this season.

Bishop Ward didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Oskaloosa on the 14th. As for Maranatha Christian Academy, after both having extra time off, they and Sabetha will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
