Volleyball Recap: Woodlawn Makes It Four in a Row at Home

Woodlawn took a three-set loss the last time they faced off against Hopewell, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Woodlawn sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over Hopewell on Thursday. For the Trailblazers, this counts as revenge for the 3-0 victory the Titans walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2023.

Woodlawn had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 25-27, 25-19, 25-19, 15-12.

Woodlawn's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-0. As for Hopewell, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Woodlawn and Hopewell will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time Woodlawn sees the court they'll take on Liberty Preparatory Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on April 1. As for Hopewell, their break will end when they face A.L. Brown at 5:00 p.m. on April 1.
