Baseball Recap: Wadley Sets Scoring Season-High Against Central of Coosa County

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Wadley). They blew past the Central of Coosa County Cougars 14-1 on Monday. The victory was familiar territory for the Bulldogs, who have now won three matchups in a row.

Ty Taylor made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over five innings pitched. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in February. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one triple and two RBI. That triple marked the first that he hit this season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Mason Wilkerson, who went 3-for-4 with seven RBI, three doubles, and one run. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in RBI. Lance Garrett was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing Two bases. while going 1-for-2.
