Volleyball Recap: Deshler Victorious

Deshler's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the H&H Bearcats, sneaking past 2-1.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Deshler got the one that really mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 23-25, 25-21.

Jessie Kayser paced Deshler's offense, picking up 17 kills. Kayser got some help from Molley Drohman and her 18 assists.

Despite the loss, H&H still got an impressive performance from Jaylah Gross, who had 20 digs and two aces. Gross is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last ten games she's played.

Deshler's win bumped their record up to 7-9. As for H&H, their defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-12.

Deshler has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Red Cloud on the 27th. As for H&H, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against East Butler on the 27th.
