Softball Recap: Lackey Chargers vs. Patuxent Panthers

Lackey had lost five straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped their record down to 6-11 to make it six. They came up short against the Patuxent Panthers, falling 10-2. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Chargers of the 15-9 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2023.

Lackey saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Amber Boswell, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

As for Patuxent, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-8-1. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 7.5 runs.
