Basketball Recap: Soda Springs' Run of Five Straight Victories Now Over

It was a good run, but Soda Springs unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Wednesday. They took a 55-39 bruising from the Wendell Trojans. The Cardinals were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Trojans earlier this season, when they won 51-48.

Wendell got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jonathan Swainston out in front who went 8-for-13 on his way to 22 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Swainston has scored at least a third of Wendell's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordon Swainston, who went 5-for-12 to rack up 12 points and five rebounds.

Soda Springs' loss dropped their record down to 14-10. As for Wendell, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season.

As of now, neither Soda Springs nor Wendell have any future games scheduled.
