Baseball Recap: Columbus Takes a Loss

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Columbus's offense. They came up short against the Neshoba Central Rockets on Tuesday, falling 15-0. The loss continues a trend for the Falcons in their meetings with the Rockets: they've now lost four in a row.

Columbus' defeat dropped their record down to 10-20. As for Neshoba Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-10 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Columbus will face off against Noxubee County at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Neshoba Central, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against New Hope at 6:00 p.m. The Trojans will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Rockets surely won't give up without a fight.
