It was a good run, but West Jessamine unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-match winning streak on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to the Frederick Douglass Broncos. The Colts were not able to make up for their defeat to the Broncos from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Kayla Avent paced West Jessamine's offense, picking up six kills. Avent got some help from Taylor Snowden and her 16 assists.

West Jessamine's loss dropped their record down to 20-9. As for Frederick Douglass, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-14 record this season.
