Baseball Recap: Clay County Takes a Loss

Clay County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Westmoreland Eagles. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Bulldogs have suffered since March 18, 2025.

Clay County's loss dropped their record down to 8-14. As for Westmoreland, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-14.

Clay County has already played their next matchup, an 11-1 win against Pickett County on the 30th. Westmoreland does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
