Volleyball Recap: Bunn Comes Up Short on the Road Against Southern Nash

Bunn had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They lost 3-0 to the Southern Nash Firebirds on Tuesday. The Wildcats have struggled against the Firebirds recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

While Bunn had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 19 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-19, 25-23.

Laney Mullen paced Bunn's offense, picking up nine kills. Mullen got some help from Maycey Buchanan and her 11 assists. Finally, Payton Wood kept Bunn's defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bunn will take on Hunt at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Southern Nash, they are headed away from home for the first time to take on Nash Central at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
