Softball Recap: Leakey Comes Up Short

Leakey blew D'Hanis out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Tuesday D'Hanis got their revenge. The Eagles fell just short of the Cowboys by a score of 5-3. The Eagles' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Leakey saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rainie Hernandez, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Leakey's defeat dropped their record down to 14-13-1. As for D'Hanis, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-9.

Coming up, Leakey will host Knippa at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles are facing the Crushers at the right time seeing as the Crushers are stuck on a 12-game losing streak. As for D'Hanis, they will venture away from home to challenge Medina at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
