Baseball Game Preview: Stoney Creek Cougars vs. Oxford Wildcats

For the second straight game, Stoney Creek will face off against Oxford. The Cougars will be playing at home against the Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.

It was a proper cat-fight when Stoney Creek duked it out with Oxford on Tuesday. The Cougars fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 4-3. The matchup marked the Cougars' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Stoney Creek saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Champine, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Brady Smith also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Oxford pushed their record up to 5-1 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.
