Basketball Recap: Elwood Comes Up Short

Elwood lost against Liberty Christian back in December of 2021 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Elwood Panthers had to suffer through a 73-32 loss at the hands of the Liberty Christian Lions. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Several Panthers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jayden Mullins, who almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine boards. Another player making a difference was Cam Gallegos, who posted 11 points.

Elwood's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Liberty Christian, their win bumped their record up to 6-4.

Elwood will face off against GEO Next Generation at 6:30 p.m. on January 16th. As for Liberty Christian, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Frankton at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
