            Baseball Recap: South Gibson Hornets vs. Chester County Eagles        
        
		
        
        
            South Gibson posted their closest  win since April 15th on Friday. They skirted past the Chester County Eagles  6-4. This was a revenge game for the Hornets: when they faced off against the Eagles  on Thursday, they had to take a  6-5  loss.

 South Gibson got a great performance from  Tyler Dehaan as he  tossed six innings while giving up  four earned runs off   five  hits. What's more,  Dehaan posted five  strikeouts, the most he's  had since back in March.
South Gibson has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won 13 of their last 15 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-7 record  this season. The  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 7.6 runs over those games. As for Chester County,  with the  defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 16-9.
 Coming up, South Gibson will host University School of Jackson  at 3:00  p.m.  on Saturday. The Hornets are facing the Bruins at the right time seeing as the Bruins are stuck on  a  three-game losing streak. Chester County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
