Baseball Game Preview: Inglewood Sentinels vs. Hawthorne Cougars

For the second straight game, Inglewood will face off against Hawthorne. The Sentinels will square off against the Cougars at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Inglewood has now lost eight straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since April 3.

On Monday, Inglewood didn't have quite enough to beat Hawthorne and fell 4-3.

For Hawthorne's part, Hugo Rodriguez was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out 13 batters over six innings while giving up three earned runs off seven hits. Rodriguez was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

Rodriguez wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was David Moreno, who went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases and one run. Joaquin Arana was another, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases.

With the win, Hawthorne broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 7-15. As for Inglewood, their loss dropped their record down to 3-17.
