Basketball Recap: Monte Vista Now 5-1 over Last Six Games

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against De La Salle, Monte Vista was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Granada Matadors by a score of 68-58. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Mustangs considering their 30-point performance the game before.

Monte Vista is also on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. As for Granada, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-11.

Monte Vista and Granada could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. Monte Vista will take on California at 7:30 p.m. on Friday down 126 places (162 vs. 36). Similarly, Granada (ranked 379th) will meet Amador Valley (ranked 102nd) at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
