Brunswick Academy wins going away against Nansemond-Suffolk Academy

In what's become a running theme this season, the Brunswick Academy Vikings gave their fans yet another huge victory on Monday. Everything went their way against Nansemond-Suffolk Academy as Brunswick Academy made off with a 55-34 win. Winning may never get old, but Brunswick Academy sure is getting used to it with their eighth in a row.

Brunswick Academy found their leader in underclassman Emily King, who scored 28 points. King has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last six times she's played. Haley Reese was another key contributor, scoring eight points.

Brunswick Academy is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. As for Nansemond-Suffolk Academy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-10.

Brunswick Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Virginia Rankings (they are ranked 319th, while Brunswick Academy is ranked 158th). As for Nansemond-Suffolk Academy, they will head out on the road to square off against Peninsula Catholic at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Peninsula Catholic comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 25 points in their last seven games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
